International RELIANT-SCAN began operations in Port Harcourt, Nigeria in 1995 with a core of highly qualified, experienced personnel from both the U.S. and Nigeria. With technical expertise and reliability of its people, along with state-of-the-art equipment, RELIANT-SCAN today has grown to over 50 employees, expanding both its capabilities and services. The RELIANT-SCAN service yard, located in Port Harcourt, still under construction at the time of this photo, where tubulars, as well as other products can be received by RELIANT-SCAN. Services are preformed by RELIANT-SCAN employees on location and short term storage of the customer product is available. RELIANT-SCAN services are also offered at various locations both on land as well as off shore. We maintain a complete line of mobile equipment both for inspection and maintenance services. The RELIANT-SCAN "Ultrascan" is shown here. This is a unique ultrasonic inspection system designed by RELIANT NDT in the U.S. It provides the capability to inspect for flaws and wall reduction on tubulars, either in the critical end areas as well as full length, as shown here. The operator shown scans the pipe with the test head, full length, including the upset area, as well as 360 degrees around the pipe circumference. The technician stationed at the portable electronic instrument console is not shown here. He reviews the test data and evaluates all signals from the pipe. Flaw signals are then further evaluated for disposition.
